It is with great enthusiasm that XCALLY has completed the 15th year of the UCLA Anderson Management Global Access Program (GAP) in California - Los Angeles. In 2012 XCALLY has been among a select group of company products, working with UCLA to conduct the new market entry assessment.
Professor Jonathan Lasch, faculty advisor for the GAP program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, said “It was a tremendous opportunity for the team of 5 fully-employed masters of business administration students to work closely with the seasoned executives of Xenialab to explore options for the company to enter the U.S. market with their flagship contact center software suite, XCALLY. This field study resulted in 204 primary market interviews of potential customers, industry experts, partners and competitors, by the students, and was helpful in setting strategic and tactical goals for the company, while developing close working international relationships and providing a powerful learning experience for the students. We are excited to see Xenialab introduce XCALLY to the North American market.”
The GAP selection process is quite rigorous as the UCLA Anderson School of Management. It considers several factors when choosing a company. First, the company must have an established market in their home country, and an interest in commercializing that product in a foreign market. Second, the companymust be healthy financially and have a skilled management team.
Finally the company must be willing to work closely with their team and travel to the United Statesduring the project.
The XCALLY products easily met all of this criteria.
Professor Emilio Paolucci (Politecnico di Torino) said that “The results from the field study (and early market development activities) show that the product has acompelling value proposition, especially for SMEs targeting from 3 to 300 seats. Furthermore such value proposition is grounded on technological innovation and a long term experience of founders in this field. Thanks to the identified strategy the company will be able to transform such potential into an important market base in the next years.”
When asked about the benefits of participating in GAP, Diego Gosmar Co-Founder and XCALLY Marketing Director, responds, “Now we have an understanding of our go-to-market strategy with a structure and a plan thanks to the UCLA Team job and the full support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce.”
Giuseppe Innamorato, Co-Founder and XCALLY CTO, will recommend the GAP program to other companies because of the “International experience, which provides an opportunity for growth.”
Guido Bolatto, Secretary General of the Turin Chamber of commerce
“82 companies from Torino have participated to GAP in the last 10 years. Xenialab is among them.
To boost international development of the most local qualified companies, the Torino Chamber of commerce supports and finances their participation to GAP. The success of our companies testifies the strenght and capacity of our economy in entering new foreign markets. GAP proves to be a good tailored project specifically for SME’s“.
