If you had a 60 second spot during the Superbowl, what you would say about UCLA Anderson?
This was the question posed by Dylan Stafford, director of admissions for Anderson's Fully-Employed MBA (FEMBA) programs to the Anderson student bodies in the 2011 All Anderson commercial challenge. The challenge asked teams of Anderson students from every program to create a 60 second commercial video that distinguished the UCLA Anderson brand.
Stafford, who sponsored the challenge along with Anderson's Marketing and Communications Department (headed by Assistant Dean Allison Holmes) said the competition -- now in its second year -- had three goals. The first was to build bridges between the various programs. "We've got brilliant full-time MBA students who are looking for either an internship or a full-time job and we've got two brilliant student bodies in our executive and fully-employed programs who have internships and full-time jobs to offer," Stafford offered as examples of bridge building. The second goal was to promote the Anderson brand and the third goal was to learn from students why they chose to attend UCLA Anderson.
The $2,000 Gold Prize went to Exploding Heads Productions, comprised of Mark Harper ('11), Corey Berse ('11), Belinda Cheng ('11) and Jon Schurger ('11). This marks the second year in a row Exploding Heads Productions took the gold; the team announced that they were donating their entire prize to the Anderson Affiliates.
