Tonight, Peter Ueberroth receives the 2011 John Wooden Global Leadership Award. 

In the video above, Deborah Roberts of ABC News interviews "Coach' -- alongside three of his former players: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Keith Erickson and Jamaal Wilkes. The occasion was the 2010 John Wooden Global Leadership Award ceremony. 

At the 10:55 mark, Kareem tells a wonderful, rarely told story about Coach Wooden and an early stand he took on race relations. 

This was one of Coach's final public appearances.
